Baldissara wins Pheasants Forever, Quail Forever scholarship

Megan Baldissara, a Ph.D. candidate, is the fourth member of the Applied Wildlife Ecology & Spatial Movement Lab to receive the William L. Baxter scholarship.

Lincoln, Neb. —Megan Baldissara has been selected for the 2024 William L. Baxter scholarship from the Nebraska chapters of Pheasants Forever, Inc. and Quail Forever. She received her award during the Nebraska State Habitat Meeting, held in February in Kearney.

The scholarship is open to students nationwide, although priority goes to those who are conducting work in the Midwest region. Megan is a doctoral student in the Applied Wildlife Ecology and Spatial Movement (AWESM) lab within the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's School of Natural Resources. She is the fourth member of the AWESM lab to receive the award in the past three years.
